Dogs - responsible ownership: Outline
Being a responsible dog owner means showing respect for your dog and for the people around you.
You could receive a dog control order if you commit any of the following offences:
- failing to remove dog faeces
- not keeping a dog on a lead
- not putting, and keeping, a dog on a lead when directed to do so by an authorised officer
- permitting a dog to enter land from which dogs are excluded
If you are having trouble keeping your dog under control, we will be happy to suggest some solutions.
Contact the dog warden on 01242 264135. The out of hours number to call is 07036 503969.
