Get top money and debt advice
Support and advice on offer at this event includes debt management,
energy bills, bank accounts, saving schemes and welfare benefits advice
will be available on each day.
Support will be available from:
- Cheltenham Borough Homes
- Barclays Bank - banking queries and to assist with any new bank account needs
- Cheltenham Borough Council - support with housing benefit and benefit calculations
- Gloucestershire Credit Union - explain and help set-up a savings accounts
- Jobcentre Plus - help with benefit queries
- Citizen Advice Bureau - debt support, benefit calculations, general queries
- Illegal Money Lending Team (Stop Loan Sharks) - to raise awareness of illegal money lending activities and offer confidential support
- A4e (Action 4 Employment) - debt management, borrowing/credit queries, banking, pension/retirement planning
Information booklets/leaflets will also be available from AgeUK, Department for Work and Pensions, Money Advice Service and energy tariffs
An additional £20 savings deposit will be paid to the
first 20 new Credit Union Accounts opened at the events, after you have
saved regularly for 13 weeks and providing the account is still active.
This generous offer has been made available by the Illegal Money Lending
Team.
