Cheltenham 2007 - 100 years after the inauguration of the museum.

Celebrating our 100th birthday and continuing to steward an award winning collection of objects and art spanning many years, we also seek to celebrate the living memories of our recent past to create a more vivid picture of our town.

These are the collected musings of Cheltenham people, a snapshot of Cheltenham life as recorded in 2007.

We are indebted to Simon Turner who spent many hours editing the material into manageable chunks, the Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum staff who put forward inspired ideas for who to approach, Ann-Rachael Harwood, curator of Social History for access to wonderful illustrative images from the collections and Pete Riley from the Cheltenham Borough Council webteam who had the foresight to display the material in this way.
