Play Zone programme summer 2010

This summer the play development team are providing PlayZone holiday schemes in a number of locations, which will be running Monday to Friday from 26 July until 27 August 2010.

Balcarras Sports Centre

40 places per day running from 8.30am till 6pm with half days available.

St Marks C of E Junior School

40 places per day running from 8.30am till 6pm with half days available.

For the Balcarras and St Marks PlayZone sites, the cost per day is £13 (half day £7). Spaces can be booked in advance by using the booking form located in the Summer 2010 brochure, or by calling 01242 774408 with your details (there is an answering machine available on this line).

Dunalley Primary School

40 places per day running from 10am till 3.30pm with half days available.

Rowanfield Infant School

40 places per day running 10am till 3.30pm with half days available.

The Dunalley and Rowanfield sites run on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost per day is £4 (£3 concession) and half day £2 (concession £1.50).

This summer alongside the wide variety of equipment and activities that take place on PlayZone, there are additional sessions and trips.

Week 1- Mad science 

Children will get to make their own goo and play around with dry ice in a fun and interactive science session.

Week 2- National Play Day trip

Off-site trip to the FunDay event which this year includes laser paintball, bouncy castles and other inflatablese, donkey rides, climbing wall, sports activities, face painting, arts and crafts and much more. Also this week they will be taken off site to leisure@cheltenham for a swimming session.

Week 3- Bristol Zoo trip

Off-site trip. Find out about what's available at Bristol Zoo. This week there are also music production and DJ sessions so children can create their own music and CD. Alongside this they will have the chance to try their hand at fencing.

Week 4- Cattle Country trip

Off-site trip. Find out what's available at Cattle Country. This week there are also cooking and street dancing/cheerleading sessions.

Week 5- Archery

Sessions are available for the children to try this week, and for the final day we are holding a Final Day Funday with laser paintball, climbing wall, inflatable water fight arena and lots of other fun games and activities to celebrate the end of the summer holiday programme.
