Can I appeal against a decision on my planning application?

You have a right of appeal against the decision to the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions. The Planning Inspectorate is an independent body and will usually deal with such an appeal.

You should only consider submitting an appeal as a last resort. Try to negotiate a satisfactory conclusion with the Planning Officer before submitting an appeal.
