How can I make my building work accessible and user friendly?

It is important that all buildings are designed so that they are as inclusive as possible. It should be the aim of designers, builders and clients to develop buildings which are accessible to all potential users.

As an aid to achieving these aims, the Building Regulations contain some guidance about inclusive design. These are in Part M of the Planning Portal. Further information on the Equality Act can be obtained from The Equality and Human Rights Commission.
