Changes to waste and recycling collections over the Easter Bank Holiday will be minimal.

Crews will be working on Good Friday so collections will take place as normal on that day.

No collections will be made on Easter Monday so collections that week will be a day later than usual with crews working up to and including Saturday 7 April to complete the catch-up. All collections will be back to normal from week commencing Monday 9 April.

Please note that in some areas refuse and recycling collections take place as early as 7am so please have your bins, boxes, bags and caddies presented in good time.

Councillor Chris Coleman, cabinet member for clean and green environment said: ‘’I am pleased that changes to the service over Easter time are being kept to a minimum. I’d also like to use this opportunity as reminder to recycle all the cardboard and foil packaging from all those tasty Easter eggs. It’s surprising how much extra waste is generated over Easter time but we can all take steps to avoid this going to landfill by recycling where possible.’’

Read information about recycling cardboard and foil on the council’s website.
