Waste and recycling collections over spring bank holiday

As the late May spring bank holiday is just around the corner, the council’s waste collection provider, Ubico, is reminding residents of their alternative collection days.

Collections of waste, food, recycling and garden waste will take place a day later than usual as follows:

Normal collection day

Revised collection day

Monday 28 May (bank holiday)

Tuesday 29 May

Tuesday 29 May

Wednesday 30 May

Wednesday 30 May

Thursday 31 May

Thursday 31 May

Friday 1 June

Friday 1 June

Saturday 2 June

Normal scheduled collections will resume from Monday 4 June.

In some areas collections take place as early as 7am so residents are asked to present their food caddies, refuse/garden waste bins and/or recycling boxes and cardboard bags in advance.

The Swindon Road recycling centre will be open on the bank holiday, 9am until 1pm, with usual opening hours on all other days.
