A new-look market is heading for Cheltenham this May.
Visitors to and residents of Cheltenham will be able to enjoy a variety of street food, crafts and gifts at the ‘On The Street’ market.
The market opens on Thursday (2 May) on Cheltenham Promenade and is hosted by Geraud Markets Management Limited, supported by Cheltenham Borough Council and Cheltenham Business Improvement District (BID).
The annual May market will run for an extra day this year, taking in a fifth day on Bank Holiday Monday (6 May).
The market is running at the same time as Cheltenham Jazz Festival and popular local singer Bethany Goodman will bring a jazz performance to the market at 5pm on Friday 3 May.
The Festivals’ …around town programme has also been extended with the support of the BID this year. There are stages in Cambray Place and The Brewery Quarter and events in businesses across the town.
The market’s street food vendors will include international offerings, freshly cooked dishes from a range of cuisines and a speciality bar.
BID director Kevan Blackadder said: “There will be something for all the family and a great range of stalls to complement the businesses on the Promenade.”
Bridget Mason, head of events at Geraud Markets, said: “This will be a really exciting weekend in Cheltenham with the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and the On The Street market in town.
“We are so pleased to be working alongside the businesses and residents of Cheltenham.”
