A scam email has been reported to us suggesting residents are entitled to a council tax refund.

We’ve been made aware that some people have received scam emails saying they are entitled to a council tax refund. The email says that you can get a refund fast, straight into your bank account and provides a link to follow.

You should not click on the link in the email.

If you are in any doubt please call our council tax helpline on 01242 264161. If you have been a victim please contact the Police straight away, or report it to Action Fraud.
