No Child Left Behind
design a flag

Ahead of the Children’s Festival this May and to celebrate childhood, the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) partnership is giving Cheltenham children the opportunity to design a new NCLB flag to be displayed outside the Municipal Offices in Cheltenham.

  • Closing date Tuesday 3 May 2022

Children are being encouraged to get creative and design their own No Child Left Behind flag before dropping it off to the team at either Oakley Community and Resource Centre, Oasis Centre, Springbank Community Café or Gas Green Youth and Community Centre.

The suggested themes are ‘what I love about my family’ or ‘what I love about Cheltenham’ although this is not essential.  The most creative design will be decided by the team, unveiled at the Children’s Festival and displayed in the town centre this May.

Darren Knight executive director for people and change said: ‘‘This is a wonderful opportunity for the children of our town to get creative and have their efforts celebrated.  No Child Left Behind is an important commitment made by Cheltenham Borough Council and flying the flag outside the Municipal Offices will continue to raise awareness for this important cause.’’

The winner will be announced on our Facebook and Twitter pages @NCLBChelt in time to be run up the flagpole.  Entries can also be submitted by emailing designs to nochildleftbehind@cheltenham.gov.uk.  The deadline for entries is 3 May.
