About the taxi and private hire licensing policy review

On the 12 September 2017 the council’s cabinet approved a draft licensing policy, guidance and conditions for private hire and taxis for consultation.

The current policy was adopted by the council in December 2013 and it is our policy to review our licensing policies at least once every three years.

As a result we would like to consult with a number of organisations, groups, interested parties (residents and businesses) and representatives of the licensed trade in our area on the proposed amendments.

We would like to hear your views on the proposed amendments to the policy and would welcome any comments or suggestions you may wish to make by 21 December 2017. All responses must be made in writing to the licensing section or by email to licensing@cheltenham.gov.uk.  All comments will be given due consideration by Cheltenham Borough Council.
