Who we are and what we do
The council is a data controller under the Data Protection Legislation as we collect and process personal information about you in order to provide council services and meet our statutory obligations. Where we use third parties to provide services on our behalf, they are processor and can only use the personal data for the purposes we tell them. When we use information about you we have to comply with data protection legislation by making sure you understand how we and our third party providers use your information and what your rights are over the personal data we hold.
Our privacy notices explain why we ask for your personal information when dealing with a particular service, how that information will be used and how you can access your records.
