The housing options team can help you find a suitable home for your needs or prevent you from losing your current home. There are many housing options available and the team will be able to discuss them with you. We can give you advice about whether you are homeless, at risk of homelessness or simply looking for help with your housing issue.
You can use the Streetlink website to let us know about someone who is sleeping rough, or to report a concern. This is an extremely quick and effective action that anyone can take so we can find and build relationships with individuals and help them find accommodation and support.
Severe weather emergency protocol (SWEP)
Gloucestershire’s local authorities have developed a county wide severe weather protocol (SWEP) in a humanitarian response to prevent deaths on the county’s streets due to extreme cold weather. This is implemented when there is a temperature forecast of 0 degrees or lower for three or more consecutive dates or a temperature of minus 3 degrees or lower for one night only and applies to everyone who is rough sleeping without the financial means or capacity to secure accommodation during the period of extreme weather.
If a member of the public is concerned about a rough sleeper please report this via streetlink on 0300 5000914 or by visiting the StreetLink website.
