Community engagement with local development
The council is required to produce a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) and keep it up-to-date. The SCI sets out:
-
how the council will consult and engage with the community during the preparation, production and implementation of local plans and supplementary planning documents; and
-
how it will consult the community and stakeholders on planning applications and related development management processes.
Cheltenham's first SCI was adopted in October 2006. A revised SCI was adopted in July 2014.
