Chapel information

grounds of Cheltenham's cemetery and crematorium

Two chapels are provided, the North Chapel and South Chapel, both of which can accommodate burial or cremation services. Both chapels are equipped with organs to provide accompaniment of appropriate music during services.  Facilities are also available to play CDs.  We can also record funeral services if this is required.

In 1995 the crematorium chapel was sympathetically updated while preserving the original character as far as possible.  The South Chapel now seats approximately 100 people. The North Chapel seats approx 60 although a small number of additional seats can be made available.

There is a waiting room which has a hot and cold drinks machine and a public telephone.

All buildings within the curtilage of the cemetery are listed Grade II.

Facilities have been provided for disabled people at the chapels in the form of ramped access with handrails. Service books in Braille, induction loop system for the hard of hearing, space for wheelchairs within the pew spaces together with a suite of toilets.
