Warm and Well project

Warm and Well is run by Severn Wye Energy Agency on behalf of Cotswold District Council and six other councils in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.

The service provides free advice on everything from understanding your energy use at home to retrofitting renewable energy technologies, and can signpost to further advice and any available funding.

To contact them, call the free advice line, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm: 0800 500 3076 or find details on the Severn Wye Energy Agency contact page.

Warm and Well also manages access to grants for energy efficiency home improvements. Subject to eligibility, grants can be used to install a range of measures, including:

  • insulation
  • heating, including first-time central heating systems
  • renewable energy options such as solar PV and air source heat pumps.

If you privately own or rent an inefficient property you could qualify for financial support.

Warm and Well’s friendly and experienced advisers will help you find out if you are eligible and support you with grant applications.

Warm Homes Local Grant

The Warm Homes Local Grant is part of a £5.25 million programme funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, and is now open to eligible households across Gloucestershire.

Qualifying households will benefit from a wide range of energy-saving technologies and receive fully funded home improvements potentially worth tens of thousands of pounds.

Residents could qualify for the scheme if they:

  • Occupy an energy-inefficient property (with an EPC rating of D, E, F or G)
  • Have a combined household income under £36,000, or receive certain means-tested benefits

Householders can find out more and apply for the Warm Homes Local Grant on the Severn Wye website.
