The biggest free festival in Cheltenham is less than three weeks away, and there are still spaces for a few more volunteers to join the team responsible for the event’s smooth running.

The annual Midsummer Fiesta in Montpellier Gardens attracts thousands of local people each year with live music, dance, sports, children’s activities and shopping. This year’s Fiesta runs from 12pm to 9pm on Saturday 6 July and features an inter-schools rugby competition with Gloucester Rugby team players. Volunteers will be kept fed and watered throughout the day, and will have plenty of time to enjoy the attractions whilst being a vital part of the not-for profit event.

Helen Down, who is co-ordinating the volunteers, said: “There is always a great atmosphere and team spirit at the Fiesta. It’s an opportunity for volunteers to gain valuable experience by being ‘behind the scenes’ at one of Cheltenham’s biggest events.”

To register as a volunteer go to the Midsummer Fiesta website and visit the volunteers section or call Helen on 01242 774960.
