On Saturday 13 June 2015, residents are invited to view proposals to improve several alleyways off the High Street.

The consultation will take place at the 2 Pigs venue on Church Street.

Running from 10am until 2pm, the consultation will showcase proposals to improve links between St Mary’s Minster, the Wilson, Libraries and the town.

In a joint venture between the borough council, Cheltenham Development Taskforce and the Neighbourhood Co-ordination Group, the event will give people a chance to say what they think about the plans.

Bernice Thomson, manager of Cheltenham West End Partnership said: “I hope that people will take the time to call in and take part in this important consultation.  They can look at the exhibits and give feedback to members of the project team who will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.”

Mat Ayres, graduate landscape architect at Cheltenham Borough Council said: “This is the first stage of a wider project which aims to develop the ‘cultural quarter’ of Cheltenham. Improving the public realm environment and pedestrian connectivity from the High Street is key to the success of this scheme.”

Canon Doctor Tudor Griffiths, rector of Cheltenham added: ‘’The Minster is delighted by this imaginative initiative to improve the attractiveness of the area.’’
