The biggest free festival in Cheltenham is back for its seventh year this Saturday (1 July), from 12noon to 9pm, in Montpellier Gardens and promises to be bigger and better than ever!

The Midsummer Fiesta has a huge range of entertainment and fun experiences for all ages. Local music and dance performances will take place throughout the day from incredible groups including King Solomon, Harpers Ferry, the Rock Choir and Variations Dance group.

There will be Zumba, and circus skills workshops to join in, football coaching, cycling and a new arts and crafts hub which includes t-shirt printing, weaving, DJ workshops and kite making. Children’s activities include bouncy castles and fair rides; den building, face painting, arts and crafts, circus skills and the Music Man.

The market place will have over 80 stalls and classic and vintage cars will be on display. There will be a range of bars and food providers, or visitors can bring a picnic and enjoy the entertainment.

Chair of the organising committee, Helen Down, says: “We are really looking forward to this year’s fiesta, which celebrates Cheltenham and showcases our finest local talent and diversity. We have a great variety of performers and activities this year and it promises to be a brilliant day out for all.”

This year the festival has two gold sponsors, the Cheltenham Business Improvement District and Cheltenham Racecourse, as well as a multitude of other organisations and businesses offering support and funding.
