Free family event sponsored by Incito Group Holdings Ltd, McDonald’s returns with inclusive programme of events and activities to bring children and families ‘together’.

Cheltenham Children’s festival returns next Saturday 24 June 2023 at Cheltenham Town Hall and the Brewery Quarter.

At the Town Hall, for the first time a bookable quiet hour from 10am will be available to accommodate those children with additional needs.  The festival will be open to all at 11am followed by a jam-packed variety of performances, activities and workshops.

The festival’s exciting programme focuses on ‘togetherness’, giving children and families the opportunity to play together, learn together and grow together. These three zones will include some of Cheltenham’s favourite community partners including: MoveMore, Springbank Community Group and Cheltenham Festivals.

Smiles are guaranteed in the playing together zone as children can squeeze, shape and squelch their way through the activities.  Fuel imaginations at the ‘learning together’ zone with everything from fun science to a sign-language sing-a-long. Join the wellbeing and development ‘growing together’ zone with green fingered and mindfulness activities to help encourage healthy and well lives. All activities are aimed at primary school-aged children with all ages welcome.

The full list of activities can be found at nclbcheltenham.org.uk/childrens-festival.

Headline sponsor for the festival is Incito Group Holdings Ltd, McDonald’s with the supporting sponsors, Dean Close Little Trees sponsoring the ‘Growing Together’ zone, Colour Connection sponsoring the ‘Learning Together’ zone and The Brewery Quarter sponsoring the ‘Playing Together’ zone.

Cllr Flo Clucas cabinet member for communities and safety said: ‘’I am so delighted that the Children’s Festival is back for 2023. This year’s festival promises to be full of fun, exciting and enlightening as we celebrate childhood and explore the possibilities our future might hold – and best of all it is completely free to attend.”

At The Brewery Quarter non-stop energy will be available from 12pm to 3pm. Local groups will take to the stage to showcase their skills in the performing arts. There will be performances from Lakeside School, Belmont School, Whizz Dance, Two Can Youth Theatre, Everlasting Entertainment, My Stage School, Cheltenham Children’s Choir and With the Ball Cheer and Gymnastics.

Demelsa Coleman, marketing manager for The Brewery Quarter said: “We're delighted to host the Cheltenham Children's Festival once more, in partnership with No Child Left Behind. As a family destination, we always welcome the opportunity to showcase the talents of local children, helping to provide a platform for them and celebrate their vibrant spirit. It should be a fabulous afternoon of entertainment for all."
