Blue bag at kerbside

Collections scheduled for week of 28 August week will be one day later.

There will be minimal changes to Cheltenham’s waste and recycling collections following the late summer bank holiday on Monday 28 August 2023.

Collections will take place one day later than usual with crews working on Saturday 2 September to complete the catch-up. Normal collections will begin again on Monday 4 September.

In some areas refuse and recycling collections take place as early as 7am and residents are asked to present their bins, boxes, bags and caddies at the kerbside by 7am.

Please do not put broken glass into your recycling box

Recently, some crew members have had injuries from broken glass in residents’ recycling boxes. Broken glass is dangerous and poses a safety risk. Small pieces of broken glass should be wrapped and placed into your green refuse bin. Large pieces of broken glass should be taken to your nearest county council household recycling centre.
