If you have a pest problem, the council’s relaunched pest control service The Pest People can help. Our experienced and fully qualified pest control technicians can offer expert advice or treatments to remove pests, including bedbugs, from your property.

A commercial service is also available for landlords and business owners.

The team, led by Chris, includes three expert pest control technicians, Duncan, Dan and Kevin. Between them they have over 18 years’ experience in treating both residential and commercial premises and they all hold British Pest Control Association accreditation.
They are supported by Anna who provides professional advice and guidance to help customers decide upon the best course of action.

Judy Hibbert, customer and support services manager, said: “The council has been a trusted provider of pest control services for over 40 years and our experienced team can offer pest solutions whether the problem is large or small. Our service range from one-off treatments to tailored pest management programmes to suit your specific needs.

“Tell us as soon as you notice you have a pest problem and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours to discuss your needs – for emergencies we can often offer same-day visits.”

The Pest People service deals with a wide range of animal and insect infestations. Some of the obvious signs of an infestation in the home include: droppings, gnawed material, smells, nests and scratching noises, as well as actually seeing the pests themselves.
