Graphic with text: Strategic & local plan

Online workshops and in-person drop-in events are being held so residents and businesses can learn more about the Strategic and Local Plan (SLP), ask questions, and share ideas.

A public consultation on the SLP, a document that will set out a blueprint for new development in Cheltenham Borough, Gloucester City and Tewkesbury Borough, is now open for feedback, with comments invited until 11.59pm on 12 March 2024.

There are six different online workshops, each of which will be held twice. These are based around different themes:

  • Vision and objectives
  • Climate and nature
  • Housing and local services
  • Business and jobs
  • Improving our city, town and village centres
  • Growth scenarios

Residents and businesses are encouraged to attend as many of the workshops as they like.

There are also seven in-person drop-in sessions across the SLP area. Local people can attend to find out more about the SLP, speak to council officers, and share views on how the SLP should plan for the future.
