10 February 2011, 6.30pm

Local businesses can talk directly to the chief executive and leader of Cheltenham Borough Council at an exclusive event to be held on Thursday 10 February.  From 6.30pm, business leaders are invited to the Municipal Offices to listen to talks and put their questions to council bosses about a number of key issues affecting the borough.

Business can hear about:
· The council's plans for commissioning services out to the community
· The work of the Cheltenham Development Taskforce towards the regeneration of the town centre and how these plans may affect the landscape and traffic flow
· Development plans for Cheltenham up to 2026 as part of the Joint Core Strategy
· On-going business support and plans to promote the local economy

Andrew North, chief executive said:  ''This event has been designed with businesses in mind.  Through our Cheltenham Business Pride scheme, we have worked hard in the past couple of years to deliver a programme of events and grant schemes to support the local economy.  I hope that business people will come along to this event to join in discussions about plans and challenges for the future.''

Attendance is free of charge. Anyone wishing to attend can contact the economic development team by Friday 4 February either by telephoning (01242) 264230 or by e-mail to [email protected].
