Boy playing tennis

No need for kids to be bored during the Christmas holidays this year, thanks to an indoor tennis camp taking place at leisure@cheltenham.

In partnership with East Glos Tennis Club, the Cheltenham Borough Council sports development team will be delivering a three day camp for children aged 6-8 and 8-10 years old. The fun, friendly coaching sessions aim to give young people of all levels an introduction to the game of short tennis which was designed as a training game for tennis. It will also improve co-ordination, movement and racket skills.

Sports development officer Tom Sparks said "This is a brilliant opportunity for keen young players to come along and have some fun during the build up to Christmas. The sessions are spread over three days so young people can test and improve their skills each day. Our tennis sessions at Montpellier Park are always popular and this is a great chance to utilise an indoor sports hall for some quality tennis coaching in a fun, friendly environment. We advise parents to book early as spaces are limited and tend to fill up quickly".
