Cheltenham Borough Council‘s play and sport development teams are back this Easter to run an action packed programme full of play schemes, trip days, sports activities and more!
The Play Zone holiday play schemes are also back this Easter, at Balcarras Sports Centre. Children can enjoy a number of fun and exciting activities including arts and crafts, toys, Wii and Xbox Kinect games, and a farm park trip. Call the play development team on 01242 774408 to book a place. The scheme will also run at Rowanfield School, however places cannot be booked for this scheme, as it is operated on a first come first served basis.
The play and sport rangers will also be visiting local parks once again this Easter, providing young people with many different activities to get involved with ranging from arts and crafts, sports equipment and a bouncy castle. Sessions are free of charge and will run from 10.30am - 3.30pm in various locations.
Laura Loving, play development officer, said: We are really pleased to be able to offer such a varied and exciting Easter holiday programme for 2012. With lots of activities to choose from, we hope children will be kept active and entertained throughout the holidays. We encourage parents to book early as spaces are starting to fill up already.
Councillor Andrew McKinlay, cabinet member for sport and culture, said: It's important that we provide activities for young people during school holidays to keep them entertained give them the opportunity to stay fit and healthy.
The Easter booking line is open weekdays between the hours of 10.00am and 3.00pm.
