The Queen's Diamond Jubilee logo in red, white, blue and yellow - child's drawing of the Union Jack flag and a crown

Monday 4 June 11.00am – 5.00pm in the grounds of St Mary, off Clarence Street, Cheltenham

Come and join us in the grounds of St Mary’s Church to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style with a street party.  The Bishop of Gloucester will launch this day of fun for all. During the day there will be various kinds of music and a chance to have a go at salsa dancing. You can get creative by decorating your own Diamond Jubilee souvenir or make a crown.

A treasure trail in St Mary’s Church will provide the lucky winner with their own ‘diamond’. Punch and Judy and storytelling will also entertain and young visitors can enjoy a bouncy castle.

Adding to the festivities will be lots of delicious food and drink.

We are also planning to have a variety of stalls – if you make or create and are interested please get in touch with Sophia Wilson, Exhibitions & Education Manager, Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum.

Gina Wilson, Chairman of the Friends of Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum says 'This promises to be a splendid day out for the whole family and a fitting tribute to the Queen, whose championing of community spirit we are delighted to celebrate'.

The day is being organised by the Friends of Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum, St Mary and St Matthew to help raise funds for the Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum Development Fund.
