Street naming and numbering register

The council is responsible for the naming and numbering of streets and buildings in Cheltenham, under the Public Health Act 1925. We do this so that new street names and building names and numbers are allocated logically to ensure, among other things:

• the effective delivery of mail
• that emergency service vehicles are able to locate addresses easily
