Encouraging good mental health

Heads Up Cheltenham exists to encourage good mental health and wellbeing across our town.
Helpful wellbeing mini presentations
The following presentations have been put together for Heads Up Cheltenham, to show some of the mental health and wellbeing services available, and provide some ideas and tips about how you can help yourself, as well as others.
Feel Good Fortnight
Feel Good Fortnight during October, saw the HUC team on the CCG bus on the High Street raising awareness about mental health and wellbeing services to the general public in the town. We also held a Sharing Session for local agencies to network and share information about services in the area. And finally, Wellbeing Wednesdays offered both employers and the public, the opportunity to find out more about the Healthy Lifestyles and Healthy Workplaces schemes.
If you missed the chance to learn more about how Healthy Lifestyles Gloucestershire can help you with a free 12 week programme to stop smoking, reduce alcohol intake or think about healthy eating and weight loss or the Gloucestershire Healthy Workplace Award, please see the Healthy Lifestyles Gloucestershire website for more information.
Heads Up Move More Miles challenge
This summer, Heads Up Cheltenham and Move More came together to launch the Heads Up Move More Miles challenge for the whole community of Cheltenham - to encourage good physical health, which in turn can support good mental health.
By walking, running or cycling, everyone could count the miles generated over the six weeks of school summer holidays and donate them to their local school. The challenge is now complete and we shall soon see which school moved the most miles!
