FOI correspondence
Following freedom of information (FOI) requests, we have published correspondence regarding Covid-19 and the Cheltenham Races in March 2020.
The decision as to whether the Cheltenham Races took place was not one that fell within the remit of Cheltenham Borough Council. Any decision to postpone or cancel the races had to be made by the racecourse under instruction and/or guidance from central government.
