How we contact you
By email
If you have previously provided an email address to the electoral services team, you may receive correspondence from us using the email address: cheltenham.borough.council.electoral.services@notifications.service.gov.uk.
This is an official email account that we use. The email will direct you to a secure area of the GOV.UK website where you can download the relevant letter sent to you from Cheltenham Borough Council’s electoral services department.
By text
Texts are only sent as part of the annual canvass (usually in July each year) from CBC ElecReg. You will need to respond to this by following the link and giving your two security codes - which will be detailed in the body of the email or text and your postcode.
By post
- As part of the annual canvass, a letter addressed to 'The Occupier(s)' will be sent to properties in Cheltenham. The letter will explain what action, if any, you must take
- Outside of the annual canvass, letters will be addressed to the recipient
A personal visit
As part of the annual canvass, if we do not receive a response to a request and information is still required for your household, one of our electoral registration canvassers may visit your address to collect the information required. If there is no answer when they visit, they will leave a calling card. Please respond as soon as possible, as the canvasser may have to visit again if a prompt response is not received.
