Consultation on technical and policy amendments for taxi and private hire licences

The council is consulting on a number of proposed taxi and private hire technical and policy changes.

These are:

1. Proposed changes to the “Relevance of Convictions, Cautions and Fixed Penalty Notices in Relation to the Licensing of Drivers and Operators” policy;
2. Safeguarding training for licence holders; and
3. Proposed new style taxi and private hire licences.

The consultation document that has been prepared sets out more information about the proposals and should be referred to.
