When we contact you

If you are the occupier or owner of a property to be inspected as part of the council's statutory duties or if you are the subject of a complaint, you can expect

  • our officer to show personal identification.
  • to be informed of the reason for the visit to your property or home.
  • to be treated in a courteous and professional manner.
  • to be informed of the outcome of the visit and of any further action proposed by means of a verbal report or by letter within ten working days and
  • to be treated fairly and to receive written notification of your rights of appeal in connection with any action proposed against you.
