Recycling plastic bags and wrapping

We're making it easy for you to recycle your plastic bags and wrapping by trialing a recycling collection from your home. The trial is currently available to a small number of residents, but will gradually expand to more residents over the next two to three years.

From the week commencing 3 October 2022, your plastic bags and wrapping will be collected on the same day as your other recycling so that we can all recycle better, together.

If your area has been selected to take part in the trial, we will have delivered a roll of collection bags. Place only your plastic bags and wrapping in the collection bag, tie it securely, and place in your exisiting recycling boxes.

We will collect your plastic bags and wrapping on the same day as your normal recycling collections.
