Details for the position of planning officer

Planning officer, permanent, 37 hours per week 

Salary: £18,870 - £20,541 per annum pro rata

Working in the place & economic development team at Cheltenham Borough Council.

We are offering an opportunity to join our dynamic and forward-thinking development management team to help with our work in determining planning applications.

This post is a good opportunity for someone who wishes to progress their career in planning - duties will include processing a wide variety of planning and other applications. The successful applicant will have a qualification in planning or in a related field, or have experience of the development management process. Most importantly, however, they will be able to show an interest in planning and possess enthusiasm and an ability to work in a small team. This is a busy working environment with tight deadlines for processing work.

A full driving licence and the availability of a car are desirable.
