Electors in Cheltenham can expect receive their poll cards over the next few days for the referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union on Thursday 23 June.

Poll cards are being delivered from this week until Tuesday 24 May for all those who are registered to vote.

There is still a chance to register for those who aren’t currently on the electoral roll and the deadline is Tuesday 7 June. Visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote to register or to update your details.

Electors who are already registered and who wish to apply for a postal vote can download a form from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk or contact the borough council by email [email protected] or telephone on 01242 262626.

The last date to submit an application for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 8 June.

Kim Smith, elections manager for Cheltenham Borough Council, says: “I’d like to urge residents to make sure that they are registered and to look out for their poll cards so that they can have their say on the referendum on 23 June.”
