As the borough council continues to work hard to support people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Municipal offices remain closed.

The majority of front line council services have operated successfully since the period of lockdown began. Customers have been served by phone or have been able to successfully self-serve online and this will continue.

To date, the council has redeployed 55 members of staff,  with 25 people directly helping with the council’s local response to the crisis, this includes support of the Gloucestershire Help Hub

Cllr Alex Hegenbarth, cabinet member for corporate services said:  ‘’We have been able to operate successfully as a virtual council for some time now.  We are aware that our local response to the crisis, including our direct support of the help hub, has meant that some council services have been affected. Some customers require face-to-face appointments for instance and we are keen to put measures in places to enable these to happen safely. We are working behind the scenes for this to happen and appreciate people’s patience.’’

The council's cash halls also remain closed and customers can continue to contact us and pay bills over the phone, 01242 262626 and online www.cheltenham.gov.uk

Customers will be updated to any service changes through the website, social media channels and local media.
