Links policy

This policy explains what external websites we will and won't link to.

We may choose to link to:

  • websites which add value to the services that we offer, by providing additional and useful information
  • third parties who are working in partnership with the council, or who are participating in events that we are hosting

We will not link to:

  • out of date websites
  • websites containing content which is unlawful, defamatory, obscene or offensive
  • commercial websites (with occasional exceptions at our discretion, such as event listings and local press)
  • inaccessible websites
  • party political websites

We do not link to external sites in return for services, money or any other consideration in kind.

Links will be added in context when they are relevant to specific content. Whilst links are moderated to ensure our policy is complied with, we are not responsible or liable for the content of the websites we link to. The inclusion of a link to a third party website should not be understood as an endorsement. We reserve the right to remove links without notice or explanation.
