Important changes to the way you vote
The Elections Act 2022 has made changes to the way we’ll vote in the UK at polling stations. One of the most significant changes is that you’ll need to show photographic identification (ID) when you attend a polling station to cast your vote. The changes will be introduced during 2023 and 2024 and these pages will be updated as more information becomes available.
