Commenting on planning appeals

If you are interested in an appeal, or if you have been contacted by us notifying you of a new appeal, you may wish to send your views on the case to the Planning Inspectorate. If you have already sent your comments to the local authority whilst the application was being considered, these will be forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate. If you did not write at the consultation stage, or feel you have something new to add, you should send this directly to the Planning Inspectorate.

Please be aware that there are strict time limits for commenting once an appeal has been started. Your comments should reach the inspectorate within 6 weeks of the appeal start date. Comments received outside of the 6 weeks will be returned to you and will not be taken into account.
