Background

In 2020/21, as part of our modernisation programme we looked at how we needed to change and develop as an organisation. 

Over 70 staff and stakeholders provided feedback on how we could best organise ourselves to deliver the council's vision and ambitious priorities as set out in our key documents:

• Place Vision
• Corporate Plan
• Medium Term Financial Strategy
• Recovery Strategy

Following on from this work, we recognised the need to create a work environment where everyone feels positive, supported, empowered and appreciated for what they do.

We agreed five sets of behaviours that will help us achieve our goals.  We call these our corporate values.
