Swindon Village Conservation Area Character Appraisal & Management Plan (February 2007)
The Swindon Village conservation area appraisal and management plan was adopted by council on 23 February 2007.
The appraisal provides an assessment of the character of conservation areas or their parts. The appraisal provides the basis for an accompanying management plan which gives guidance on how the preservation or enhancement of the character or appearance can be achieved. It also provides a sound basis for development control and other decisions made by local authorities (such as the design of highways and open spaces).
Additional information on the SPD includes: adoption statement; summary of main issues; character area SEA ; statement of compliance with the statement of community involvement.
