A weaver for over 20 years who is increasingly interested in shape and form, Susie has created a nest for her pigeon to sit on, using willow and hedgerow materials.
A member of the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen, she constructs strong comfortable baskets and forms that sit reassuringly in their surroundings. Her studies in Creative Basketry have given her insight into new methods of working. Awarded a Queen Elizabeth Scholarship, she has developed the techniques and skills that enable her to continue to explore the many ways in which willow can be manipulated in its form to create more sculptural forms for indoors and outside.
