Licensing recovery privacy statement

This privacy statement relates to the authority’s licensing, business, evening and night-time economy recovery plan and work.

We collect information necessary to provide you with regular updates on the progress of the recovery work and other important and updates such as government advice and changes in legislation.

We use a mailing service called Mailchimp to collect your information and to send you email updates.

Lawful basis for processing

  • Consent – When you subscribe to our mailing list, you will be required to give explicit consent for your information to be used for the purpose of sending you regular email updates as defined in this privacy statement.

Is there any information transferred to or stored on servers based outside the EEA?

Yes.  Mailchimp servers are located in the United States. Mailchimp is part of the Privacy Shield framework. The European Commission deems the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework adequate to enable data transfers under EU law.

How long do we keep your information?

You can unsubscribe at any time from our mailing system at any time by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link on the footer of our emails to you.

We review our mailing list regularly and will proactively remove email addresses returned as undeliverable.
