Why we collect information about you

We collect information to assess your suitability to be a supplier at a council-run event. We may use your information to communicate with you, to set you up as a supplier on the council's purchasing system and to issue invoices and receipts.

There is no statutory duty on the council to organise the event or to collect your information. You consent to the council to use the information in relation to this purpose only.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect your title, name, nature of business or charity, contact details (address, telephone and e-mail) and public liability insurance details. If you are set up as a council supplier on the financial system, we will require bank details for payment

Who do we share this information with?

We may share this information with other departments of the council involved in the running of the event.

Is there any information transferred to or stored on servers based outside the EEA?

No.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep information about you for a maximum period of two calendar years (current year plus one)

We collect information from you.

What are the consequences if we do not collect the data?

It would not be possible for you to participate in a council-run event without the council having contact and insurance details.

Are any decisions about you made by automatic means?

No.
