Why we collect information about you
We collect information to undertake the control and environmental permitting of scheduled activities, installations and mobile plant.
This is a statutory obligation undertaken by the council in accordance with the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about:
- You (name, address, contact details)
- Your business and processes undertaken
Who do we share the information with?
- We are required to keep a public register of permitted processes.
- DEFRA
Is any information transferred to or stored on servers based outside the European Economic Area?
No.
How long do we keep your information?
- We keep the initial application for the lifetime of the permitted installation
- Current and previous inspection outcomes are kept

What are the consequences if we do not collect the data?
The council will be unable to fulfil its statutory obligations in relation to Local Air Pollution Prevention and Control (LAPCC) and Local Authority Industrial Pollution Prevention and Control (LA-IPPC).
